About us
Owner Jackie Austin opened Inspiration eight years ago so that, through her own experiences, she could offer help and support to others in similar situations.
Eighteen years ago, she became ill and went into acute renal failure, she was diagnosed with a rare kidney disease that required a transplant of both kidneys, she was given 5-10 years to live. Not to be beaten, and from her hospital bed Jackie embarked on a quest to beat the disease, with the help and support of her husband she sent him to find some positive thinking books. From these books she became more determined to beat the disease and argued with her Doctors that she would not need a transplant or dialysis. After several weeks in hospital, she was discharged and was expected to return to have regular dialysis. She sought medical opinions from other specialists with the same conclusive evidence.
Although she had never meditated before, she began to do so twice daily as well as repeating affirmations morning, noon and night. But more importantly, she had an absolute belief she was going to win this battle. Within twelve months Jackie showed no signs of the disease and all kidney function tests appeared normal. Today, 18 years later Jackie has had neither a transplant or dialysis and continues to have no signs of the disease.
Jackie has been reading and teaching Tarot for over 20 years. She is a certified Reiki Practitioner and a qualified Hypnotherapist. Her interests also extend to Astrology, Past Life work and Spiritual Growth.
Jackie has a MBA and worked in Senior Executive Management positions in the corporate arena for nearly 20 years. She gave up the corporate world to build Inspiration and follow her passion to encourage and assist others on their own spiritual journey - helping people stretch their boundaries to recognize and achieve their own potential. Since leaving the corporate world Jackie developed and co wrote as well as published the Card Deck "A Journey in Developing your Intuition" Card Deck
